Description After the 1999 Dimension Tide test sucked in both Godzilla and Godzilla Junior, Japan was left with no kaiju to worry about. They slowly began to forget about the existance of kaiju, and alongside this, Japan's youth began to forget about the sacrifices made to keep Japan going in the face of the kaiju age. G-Force was rendered inactive, and Mechagodzilla left to sit.

The bones of the original Godzilla had remained undisturbed since the year 1954; the world was in for a rude awakening when the original animal was regenerated by demons, and unleashed on Japan. After rampaging through Kyoto, the demon was confronted by two of the nine Guardian Monsters of legend, specifically the Stone Guardian Anguirus and Earth Guardian Baragon. Although the two fought valiantly, the demon was too strong, and it ultimately killed them in a great explosion.

It was a night later when the other six arrived in Yokohama; Gorosaurus, Titanosaurus, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Mothra and Varan, the Guardians of Lava, Water, Sky, Lightning, Life and Wind. Even with a six-on-one duel, the demon still took out Rodan, Mothra and Varan, leaving only Gorosaurus, Titanosaurus and King Ghidorah to fight him; and eventually Godzilla even took out both other dinosaurs, leaving only the three-headed lightning dragon to fight. The power of his fallen allies coursing through him, King Ghidorah was gifted with enough strength to duel Godzilla, and the fight raged on into the morning. It took all of his strength for King Ghidorah to unleash a hail of holy lightning, destroying the demon and returning the fallen dinosaur to it's original state.

Japan was left in ruins by the event; thousands were killed, thousands more injured. Entire blocks of the city had been destroyed, leaving huge amounts of money out of the question. The event lead to Japan reformating G-Force and increasing funds to the kaiju defense area, and soon enough the rumbles of two familiar roars from underground confirmed that Godzilla and Junior had not been destroyed, but shoved deep into the earth.

While Japan had anti-kaiju weapons, the government was concerned with being cutting-edge; and to this end, the government demanded that G-Force upgrade Mechagodzilla into a cyborg; even dredging up the skeleton of the first Godzilla for use in the upgrade.

The government didn't realize that this would only cause more problems in the future...
