Description
A 'Furry' and 'Were' comparison. An oldie but goodie, circa 1999.I decided to upload this one since it is stolen so much and I don't have it up anywhere. So now it is up here! If any of you remember, there originally was text with this, but I decided to delete it because it was lame and not how I view things anymore

i sorta get annoyed when people say furry. though i like it when i draw "were". i draw wolf people but the thing with the clothes are just.... stupid(my opinion)

I was always so sick of people saying my anthros and werewolves are "furry" art. This confirms that its not, at least in my eyes.

So, I get to this picture, (looking for something else ) and I have a frisson of recognition. I used to see your stuff on the interweb..like..a thousand years ago. You paint such wonderful stuff, just, really wonderful and it's made me curiously happy to know you're still out there, doing these wonderful pictures. More power to you, I say.

It's weird, I remember this, and after having recently 'joined' the furry fandom and then relooking at this piece... It makes me think... I'm really more 'were' then I am 'furry'...

Didn't you have notes written on this about the differences between the two when you first posted this back in '99? I was intrigued by what you came up with. If you still have them, I'd love to read it.

You have aunique and very special talent for akkowing animals to perform humsan tasks yet never to fail to look liike the animals they represent. This picture is a perfect example of what I'm referring to. Although wearing clothes, the fox is quite obviously a fox. The difference is in the size of the eyes. In a cartoon, the eyes are very large, but here, they are normal sized, and from the look of things, the fox is standing up to the wolf, defiantly. "Watch it, buddy, vdon't take any craqp from anybody."

:/ aw... I remember the text that was on it. too bad. When I was first getting into furrism, DarkFoxFurre used this picture to show the differences between Furries and Weres. It's too bad though, cause I think there are a bit of a distinctions regarding abilities. But maybe you might want to place the DA watermark on it?

the idea of size is very nice, I'm writing a comic book what involves the two, so knowledge of size is nice to know

Both are good, especially the were because of the mane, the d'grade legs, and the more defined body stemming from the lack of clothing. But the anthro looks very good as well.

Hey I remember this one. I had printed it out back in 2000 to use as reference when I was learning how to draw werewolves. I still like it. Not a lot of people actually try to differentiate weres and furries and it's kinda frustrating at times.
I had been looking for this piece on the Internet for quite a while. Next time someone calls my werewolves "furry" I'll know what link to give them
