so this is for and 's contest, which is to create a brand new OC.

YAY finally i have a ref sheet up for arielle! she's my OC btw if you didn't know

Background

arielle is, first and foremost, a pokemon trainer. she comes from sunyshore city in the sinnoh region and her fav pokemon in her team is her shiny togekiss, duckydear, whom she caught one day when he fell out of his nest. said nest can be seen here with a baby duckydear.

arielle didn't start her pokemon training career at age 10 like everyone else. for one thing, age 10 is not the age to go about travelling on your own. instead she juggled pokemon raising (her parents are breeders) with school until she decided it was time to start her journey, at 16.

in the past 2 years she has travelled the kanto, johto, hoenn and sinnoh regions and, coupled with her expert pokemon breeding skills, has raised a team she is convinced is invincible. she has obtained all but the last 2 badges in the sinnoh league. and that's just cos she's a procrastinator. she'll do it soon enough though.

in case anyone's wondering, she's in a relationship right now so back off guys. arielle's a smart independent girl but she does have some rejection and insecurity issues. e.g. she thinks her pokemon are the best EVAR and gets veryyyy pissed when people think them any less. otherwise she's very sweet and delicate just like the pink and lace she likes to wear.

uhh...uhh..i dunno what else to say .. okay end biography

i admit...i procrastinated... i was having so much fun with arielle that i put off making her ref sheet until round 1's deadline is nearly here. i featured her and her pokemon in some previous paintings first, like here

...BUTTT i don't think i'm disqualified cos she was created for the purposes of this contest after all

hope the quality of this one is good enough to make it into the next round!
