*EDIT* OMG A DD?!? 
This is my entry for 's Legends contest.
So for this contest we're supposed to draw a trainer with a full team of six pokemon, battling against at least one legendary. At first I thought of drawing Ho-oh and Lugia since they're my favourites by far, but I've already done a pretty recent piece featuring them so i had to cast around for other legendaries instead. Those from Hoenn onwards were OUT since they looked too machine-y, and I absolutely hate drawing metallic pokemon like rayquaza/magnezone/bronzor and the like. So in the end i chose the trusty three legendary birds, my favourites from the Kanto region 
In this battle is my OC, Vanilla, with her team of six pokemon: Absol, Togekiss, Blissey, Scizor, Altaria and Kingdra. She's the one on the back of the Altaria in the background, by the way. Barely visible, but still there! 
To better explain the action, here's what's going on in this pic:
I tried to portray a greater sense of teamwork and drama in this piece since it's supposed to be a battle of EPIC proportions. Having three legendaries helps with that so it's not just every pokemon barraging the poor legendary with attacks. I also hope I managed to convey a kind of story with this piece 
By the way I spent HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS on this, I don't even remember how long it took anymore = = I didn't even think I could finish it. THIS is the reason I practically didn't work on anything else for about a month, guys. To all the guys that I owe stuff to, please don't kill me!
Also, I just found out I have approx. a month to get 20 pieces of drawings from life observations together, and submit them as a portfolio to this art school I'm applying to. LIKE JUST KILL ME PLEASE. No more sleep for the next month TT.TT
Needless to say I'd be very very happy, and very very appreciative, if you could vote for me

This is a very nice piece of art. Very vibrant colors, a lot of detail, and a lot of depth. I like how it all blends together. Very good job. I also like the theme of it.
It stands out, although that's an understatement. It's very realistic and very very well put together.
However, it is a little hard to get the idea of completely at first. While it is well blended, I couldn't tell what it was at first. I didn't realize it was pokemon until zooming it in.
But, overall, it's a very good job well done. Well done.

Initially, I would like to bring to light that this creation of yours is absolutely colourful.The way you have realized your ideas is clearly incredible. The quality of this artwork makes it visible that you gave it an honest go with your complete variation of skills. The background of this creation is obviously right for the emotion that I feel you are aiming to create, but in hindsight this statement is probably nongermane. Despite that, I feel that your implementation of line-art could have been approached differently as I think that it wasn't able to equal the capability found in the remainder of the artwork. In the end I would like to reassure you that it has been a pleasure to pen this review for you and I feel it will allow you to maximize the potential of your already masterful piece.

This piece is incredibly striking. The color alone dragged me in for a closer inspection. I think what is shown here is an incredible amount of vision, patience, and an artistic eye that is well above the standard.
Vision & Originality: I think your vision here of an onslaught on multiple fronts is simply breathtaking. You give a lot to look at, enjoy, and take in. It's great that every Pokemon is doing something different...and even though different Pokemon were assigned to take down certain legendaries, it still appears to be utter chaos! Great show.
Technique: I think your use of color is what really makes this piece epic. Not only that, but you introduce new colors to previously monotone surfaces (like Articuno, for instance) thanks to your brilliant sunset. And don't get me started on the detail of those feathers - just...wow. However, the only issue I have with this piece (and I mean THE ONLY) is the awkwardness in some of the Pokemon themselves, most notably Moltres and Kingdra. It took me a few minutes to really SEE Moltres, and when I did I found it to not be as splendid as the other Pokemon around it. Kingdra, too, it shaped oddly. Other than those two, everything and everyone is really amazing.
Impact: It's just fantastic, and I've said before. Just your use of color is your forte here, and compiling all the Pokemon in a way that flows and appears very natural in the thick of battle and chaos really shines. THis is my first critique, here goes...
Vision: One word: AMAZING!!! I was blown awaywith the coloring, it's fantastic. THe shading and highlights are excelent! The sunset and water were done well, and it really brings it alive. The reflection of the sunset on the pokemon was done perfectly! 2 Thumbs Up!
Originality: I've seen a lot of battle scenes, but this one really stands out and the intensity is so a.deviantart.net/avatars/w/o/w… " alt=" " title="wowplz"/>
Technique: The way you colored is completely PERFECT!
Impact: Oh it sure made an impact on me, This image will be lodged in my mind for a long time!
