Hiya everyone~!I recently joined #Artgermination which is a pretty cool group for pushing yourself in becoming a digital artist. Every now and then, they do a theme challenge. This time, the theme is to pick an existing character you like and make a mecha version of them.
The natural choice would have been Mecha Sonic, right? So I figured I'd try someone else. I've always wondered how the characters would look in a Mecha form so I chose Shadow because I haven't drawn him in a while
When I joined the group, the challenge was going to end in 3 days. Never have I worked on something so fast before. I was so determined to get it finished in time lol. Probably because the idea of Mecha Shadow came into my head instantly~!

That is AMAZING!! The picture itself defines the words: Awesome, Amazing, Incredible and etc.!!
Lol! I can tell you mirrored the picture but I can't say anything cause if I were doing a straight forward picture and was satisfied with one side I would of done the same
I've always loved your art~! Big Fan of your style! It's so...its hard to explain but it is awesome! Haha~ I did draw your Sonic Character a long time ago but my old account got deleted so its no longer up in dA :c You liked the picture and everything lol! I was so nervous to talk to you lol

xD yea. I usually don't do symmetrical stuff but I kind of had to because I was on a tight timeframe. Doing symmetrical via traditional means is possible but it's much harder to achieve, unless you're ambidextrous xP

Yeah xD symmeteical isn't the easiest thing out there its those type of challenges where its awesome but too complicated so you just give up lol that's my case Haha. Which is bad but laziness just takes over then being a trad artist its even harder! Lol even being ambidextrous its still hard
No probs~! I rather do a new one that show the old one since I've improved it might take a while since I plan to color it with pencils and do it outlineless so it'll be a challenged but I done it once and it turned out amazing! My only problem is shading and lighting :/ I can shade but its hard for me to color it when I have a lighting angle and shading in on the wrong sides that's my issue with coloring stuff. I hope you'll like it when I post it up!

With all the times I've heard Mecha Sonic and all, the image of a Mecha shadow blows me away. Nice work here. I'm serious; the blending and shading is fantastic!

The only one I can think of off hand that I'd like is Trick Style. That was... mindless fun with kinetic energy. XD
