Everyone has their favorite Pokemon Type. And mine is Ground. But the sad thing is I dont have very many. So when I remembered this concept I decided to put him up here. And I love him ! But Im not sure whether he would look better with plain gray rocks or the various colored ones I gave him.

Wobbland the Island Pokemon
Water and Ground Type
Dex number 185 replacing Sudowoodo
Dex: When food is scarce this Pokemon can travel to the surface and get energy through photosynthesis using the palm tree on its back. The process is very slow and several unlucky sailors have met their end by landing on a descending Wobbland. However several people lost at sea have been saved by the process as the coconuts this Pokemon produces are extremely nutritious. This Pokemon also provides a home for dozens of Sea Pokemon and a resting place for Flying Pokemon when it surfaces.

The process of creating this Pokemon was almost painful for me. I began with the legend of the Kraken. And Im sure a lot of people only think the Kraken is a giant squid that sinks boats but the other side to the creature is that people land on it thinking its an island and when it submerges they drown. So obviously I began with the original concept but I had an extremely hard time making a squid into an island. The other ones I tried are irrelevent but I ended by choosing a Whale Shark which surprisingly turned out extremely wel.

And in a hypothetical game to progress you would have to step onto him and he would shake and then submerge into the underwater type screen. And you would have to swim to him at the end of a short tunnel and battle him. When you beat or caught him you would return straight to the surface where you would end up washing up on the other shore where you were trying to get. And this would be before you learned Surf.

I just thought I should mention he can learn Synthesis and a couple other Grass Type moves even though hes not a Grass Pokemon. And also Surf through level up the way Lapras should.
