Description
(I know I'll already did this kind of, but I was looking a royal psycho's and I liked the way he had done internal subdivisions-whatever that means. This time around though, I'm following the original material by S.M.Stirling more closely)The Draka Nation modern history begins when Great Britain took the Cape Colony from the Dutch during the American Revolution. The Colony was renamed after Sir Francis Drake, and Draka was born.
Draka served as a refuge for a wide variety of reactionaries, including Confederates (after this world's American Civil War), to slave masters fleeing their homeland to keep their slaves. From its earliest times, Draka was never wholly under the control of the U.K. When Britain removed slavery, the Drakans renamed their slaves 'Serfs', and drifted further away from the central government. Sometime in the mid 1800s, Draka became a totally De-facto nation. Britain defeated the other European powers earlier, and the entire continent of Africa was claimed for the Draka.
The Draka develop their own horrific ideology. They view themselves as the master race, not solely based on their ancestry as the Nazis did, but based on their view as the most cultured people in the world. They constantly need to maintain themselves as the master race, and can enslave other peoples even if those people are also white. They become Atheists supporting Nietzsche's Nihilism and view themselves as Ubermensch (though they tolerate religions, especially when they are distorted to serve the state).
During World War II, the Draka betray their Nazi and Japanese allies and conquer all of Eurasia (well except India and Southeast Asia). The remaining free nations of the world come together to form 'The Alliance for Democracy'. In the '70s, India leaves the Alliance, only to be swallowed by the Draka. After this, the entirety of the Alliance is incorporated into a single state. By 2013, the Protracted Struggle between the two goes on...
The World is a lot scarier place. Draka scientists are few in numbers (for one thing, only 10 percent of the Draka are free) and are pumping fewer and fewer goodies. The few good technologies and weapons they develop are usually stolen by a steady stream of defectors from the Draka to the Alliance. The Alliance, by contrast, has a driving economy and large supply of intellectual activity. The flow of defectors to the Draka, has almost completely dried up. Draka Super weapons were among the last major innovations that the Draka created, but last year the Alliance received them with a defector (Some politicians in the Draka Parliamentary Republic wanted to preemptively strike at the alliance, but in the end they lost the debate). Both sides are well into space (beyond the cities on the moon, lies the war zone, where the Alliance and the Draka openly fight), but only the Alliance has anything resembling the internet.

This is very well done. I like how the provinces reflect the borders at the time when the terrotory is annexed by the Domination (one can see former Manchukuo, Reichskommissariat Ukraine etc.)

Well since I actually consider myself not to be a follower of any religion (atheist by some definitions) no. I'm just able to recognize that although religions have motivated humans to do unspeakable acts of evil (as well as good), secular ideologies seem every bit as capable of doing so too.Β

Well thank you. What I like about Deviantart is that we can all eat off eachother's ideas. I wouldn't necessarily say that this one is better quality than yours though, just a different style.

If we hold onto Britain and Iceland, we can prevent the Draka from getting that 5 army bonus of Europe! And we definitely can't let them get that 7 army bonus in Asia!
