Looks very cute! Although perhaps the fingers blocking his ears should be more visible. From my side, it kind of looks like as if he was opening/closing his mouth with just his hands hanging on the side of his head/body.
A bit like a curtsy.

I agree with ThornedVenom that it not so clear that he is blocking ears.
For me it seems like kind of meditation. And I suppose that I know the reason: it's because there is no visible motion of the head\body itself and one have a feeling that hands are moving around ears witch are in one position with a head.
