Metroids. The will eat you.
I made this Metroid in Adobe Illustrator CS during class, liked it a lot, showed it to a few people, and decided to make a wallpaper... or 6.

It's a bit simplistic Metroid, but I find the coloring nice still. There could be something more on the BG than white... Anyhoo, you should make an avatar from that. Animated, that Metroid bouncing around or just up and down.
