our foals' halters are checked daily and adjusted as they grow. it's riding up on his face because he's in motion. you can fit three fingers between the halter and the foal's face. with babies, you want a snug fit so they don't get their feet caught and hurt themselves.

Yeah. I like the halters you use on the foals. We had some foal halters for ours, but they grew out of them in like a week XD

the kind that notorious is wearing here is called a calf halter. it has a figure 8 structure to it, which makes it better for the REALLY young foals. that's important since we put halters on them from day one. as they grow, they get changed over to regularly structured halters in baby size ... then weanling halters.... then yearling halters... then regular adult halters.

[link] here you can see the foal on the left has a regular baby halter, and the one on the right still has a calf halter.
