Description
This is for the Virtual Worlds Art Project over atThis is a rendition of the Super Mario World level called Outrageous. Click here to see the overview of the original level , the part I've drawn starts from the first yellow Warp Pipe and goes to the first Purple Warp Pipe.
There are still some mysteries behind video game levels. What exactly happens with all the places and levels after when, for example, Mario rescues Peach? Do the enemies still stay there for ages? Is everything cleaned up? Or does, like in this drawing, everything start to break down due to the forces of nature? How would these Bill Blasters actually look like in 3D? Where do all these Bullet Bill come from anyway? Why are there pipes in the middle of a forest? Are the bottomless pits actually bottomless? How do these blocks float? Some say I shouldn't think about it so much since it's just a game, but still, it has keeping me busy for ages.
Super Mario World Fun Facts:
-This year marks the 23th anniversary of Super Mario World (Japanese release-date was in November 21, 1990).
-SMW was made by only 16 people.
-I've never completely finished SMW.
I've tried a new colouring style on this one, using hard brushes instead of soft brushes. I actually like it very much, I can add much more details to my drawings with this new technique!
Please enjoy this drawing, as I personally think it's one of my greatest artworks yet!
But still, do you have any advice to make my drawings even better? Feel free to tell so!
(Super Mario World belongs to Nintendo)

i know about this sweetie, they're those guys from that forum I told you about once that. Just let they do whatever they want, as the apparently miss me more then I miss them and just try anything to get me angry, even after 4 years or so.

Awesome. Is there really such a creepy poisonous place in Mario?

Yes, his stomach
Well, there are some places in certain games that I find creepy, like the Forever Forest from Paper Mario. Laughing Flowers in a dark maze isn't really my favourite thing

oh! I loved that game but I can't remember the forest. Do you remember the lonely, creepy place with all of the Boos?

Thanks! It was rather difficult to make them look more realistic while making them look like in the game

After Peach was rescued from Dinosaur Land, every location was quiet and peaceful again. But Bowser's Troops left everything behind, so due to the effects of nature, it began to turn into ruins.

Whee, you finally finished BD The effort shows though, this is amazing! the amount of detail in your art is stunning, and I love how dusty and dirty it all looks, since that's what you were going for and it turned out really well!
Very nice 3D interpretation of a 2D environment too, it looks like a place you could actually walk through. And I like the spots of light shining through the foliage.
Great piece!

It took roughly 3 weeks to finish this!
Thank you!
This is why I would love it to play a first person Mario game, to actually walk in these kind of levels
Thanks again!
