Description
Commission for the very kind SpacemanNik !Yes I do commissions on occasion.
This is a scene from their Alpha and Omega rebuilt screenplay, which you can learn more about here if you are interested. (Screenplay) Alpha and Omega RebuiltWell, I finally got around to posting it here.I began this project last summer, culminating with a Reddit post on September 17th, 2021 where I first shared it. At first there was a vitriolic anger I felt towards towards the creators of the 2010 film, as if they had gone out of their way to make a bad movie or something.I've grown since then. I've come to realize that I shouldn't have taken such a hardline (and kind of strange) stance. I feel like the problems that I have with it are more likely to be attributed to the budgetary constraints and studio management faced by the production. And even if it was down to deliberate creative decisions... it's not really my place to say. If it's their vision, I just can't get mad at it. I don't love it, as I feel I've made myself too clear about, but I do like the movie for that reason. Art is art, and quite honestly I'm happy that a film like this can exist., With that, I would like to introduce my version. The project started because I felt that the RichCrest film had a very intriguing premise. That is, to use the common perception of wolf pack dynamics to explore themes of identity, loyalty, and self-determination. Thus, I decided to teach myself screenwriting, and I set about ripping the movie down to that core premise before crafting my own vision for it. I throw it out every time I mention it, but it really is quite the deviation from the created one.I went all in on this. It's crazy how much this screenplay really means to me. I just felt so pulled in, taking out parts of me and my life and using them to shape the world & characters. Please enjoy:Link to the screenplayCommentated version (spoilers in commentary) Character Design Sheet (art by ), This is quite possibly my favorite thing to talk about. Getting messages from people that have read it, and then being able to ask from them what their favorite part was or which character they felt most connected to... it's just been such a great experience.Since I first posted it, I've had the incredible opportunity to work with some amazing people:- I sent it in for coverage (a form of professional feedback), and it came back with an average score of 8/10- I commissioned and got to work with them to bring my own vision of the character designs to life- I have also been able to commission other artists to help envision my characters, story, and world, including more still on the way- Most recently, someone shared this in the comments on a YouTube post, garnering hundreds of likes and drawing in much more interest than I had ever anticipated this gettingThank you again to everyone that I have been able to work with, and a big thank you to everyone that's read this, and shared their thoughts with me!
Thanks again!
