Whoa. I love how more muscular you drew them. So different from marshmallow ponies. I like how Spike looks and knowing that if I was hugging Twi, I would not embrace something too squishy.

I like. Though I so wish that Spike were a bit more serpentine (like this but longer and smaller) oron61.deviantart.com/art/Youn… , I really, REALLY like the details in the scales, and the feathers behind Twilight's elbows. The background is perfect: it's just vague enough to draw the attention back to the duo.
The only problem that I see is that the proportions makes the realism off-balance. When you have low amounts if detail, you make the human features of the characters really big, ie. the eyes. When you have this much detail and still have eyes as large as they are in the show, it looks awkward.
When you have lots of details and high resolution, you don't need to make the eyes that big, because you're able to fit all of those details (expression, color, etc.) into a smaller, more proportionate space. It makes their eyes and foreheads look off-balance.

It's really different from my vision, to change basic proportions so much.
What to eyes, that's true, I was thinking few times that I need to make heads more horsy, but I don't know how to do it. Head and face is what make image recognizable, and it will be lost in case of big changes.

I felt myself uncomfortable a little when drawing was almost finished and I imagined that Twilight will take a look right to the camera in next second. So yes, I suppose.

I think it's neat. It makes "being a pegasus" more of a whole-body thing than just a standard-issue pony with wings bolted on. I like to imagine that in a "real" FiM universe a pony would be able to look at just a pony's face in isolation and say "she looks like a pegasus due to that distinctive arch of her brow and the angle of her nostrils" or whatever.

На табуне Дани рисует иногда сдвоенный хвост. Тут Земнопеснь так делает.
Я в этом месте чуть поправлю ближе к вечеру, раз было много критики из-за того, что крыло непонятно откуда растёт.
