Description A portrait of my work in progress on 1/18th kit of Ceratosaurus nasicornis sculpted by Shane Foulkes.

I have subsequently added more detailed colourwork/discolouration to some of the osteoderms on the face and to the horny sheaths on the nasal and orbital crests.

An image of the finished model in a lakeshore setting (as suggested in the scientigic paper "Dinosaur Crime Scene Investigations: Theropod Behaviour at Como Bluff, Wyoming, and the Evolution of Birdyness" by Dr. Robert Bakker and Gary Bir) will soon follow.

When I glanced at the thumbnail, there was a fraction of a second that I thought this was a photograph of a living animal. Then I remembered that Ceratosaurus is extinct.

You know I did try making one but I guess I am using the wrong clay... So I'm putting plumage on him.
But still what do you use?

Tell him Spike sent you. It comes with a Kentrosaurus, I canΒ΄t remember the price but itΒ΄s a truly wonderful kit - great detail, parts fit unusually well, a joy to work with.

Go for it!

Best wishes, Spike.
