Description Another god-knows-what device, similar to the previus designs except this time inked. Some sort of metal detector, guitar-vacuum shotguncycle thing this time. Most of the time I'm using automatic drawing techniques for this, so don't even begint o ask me what the hell these are.

You have an amazing ability to weave shapes that look fluid and graceful. Was this skilled aquired through years of studying anatomical forms, or just innate genius?

What pens do you use? I love drawing this kinda concept art but my pens are always too scratchy or dry and generally rubbish. Thanks

The bottom element reminds me of the recent set of sculpture that HR Giger did.

Saw this in the Met... Was gonna ask but figured it was some alien gizmo. Technically very well done... my only note is that some places the writing looks less like technical diaries and more like graffiti.. probably because of the way it fills the negative space of the thingy, between that gun strap and the bagpipe. Rather than being DaVinciesque, it looks like many hands have modified this scroll, some with no reverence for the concept.

I agree, it looks illuminated.
That being said, I really like the idea of an alien script that has subsidiary writing wrapped around a central ideogram---very original.
