First assignment for my Character Creation class, which was essentially "do whatever you want." I tried to portray some sort of Ganesh/Dionysus-like demigod of merriment from another universe. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.Related content

Cool design, he reminds me of a tardigrade. I'm definitely seeing the Ganesh influence in him, you've definitely got that jolly Saturnalia-personified look to him.

i love the happiness gods, all religions. they are my faves. there's just so much peace and serenity with them. and i love the idea that this one is saying "want some?" so inviting.

wow, he's awsome. it is a he, right? ah well, irelevant.
i love the whole continual eating concept, it think that sounds like an amazing concept for a god, like a god devoted to indulgence or something (i'd join that religion!). the ribbons add a really great touch, their liveliness and own directionality make him look more ethereal and important, rather than just looking like a seriously scary fat thing! it's really confusing how alone he is such an intimidating image, but the soft tones and colours that you have used on him really make you have a double take, and now i don't know wether he's an all loving god af abundance or an all consuming god of... consumerism? either way, i think he's an amazing crteation, well done!
i'm scared that if i put this in my pipe and smoke it then i'm going to have a very strange and hallucenatory few days!

I'm firmly in the "gods should look strange" camp. I love this. It is not easy to design things that look complitely alien yet feasible and cool, but you sir, you pull it of perfectly.
