Description
An early production Pzkpfw-IV Ausf.H with bolt-on 30mm thick frontal armor, stationed in the Caen sector during the battle for Normandy in the summer of 1944. It is a member of the 22nd Panzer Regiment within the 21st Panzer Division but has no divisional or regimental markings. The vehicle possesses an overall base coat of dark yellow (RAL7028) with wide olive green (RAL6033) stripes spray painted over the entire vehicle except for the sides of the turret and lower hull. The only markings consists of balkankreuz stenciled on the turret schürzen sides and rear. Due to Allied air dominance, wire has been attached to the hull schürzen to allow for the addition of foliage for camouflage.
