Description
This Pzkpfw-IV Ausf.G is a member of the 6th Panzer Division taking part in the Kursk Offensive in July 1943. The vehicle is colored overall dark yellow (RAL7028). With the exception of the balkankreuz, all markings are in black: these consist of the divisional emblem - three vertical lines with a horizontal base - on the turret sides and superstructure rear, large tactical numbers on the turret sides and rear storage bin. The balkankreuz appear to be found only on the superstructure rear. One atypical feature on this vehicle is the load label found on both sides of the turret. This gives the vehicle's SdKfz number, gross weight and load class for rail shipment.
