Shapeshifters--or Mind-Eaters depending on who you ask--are nefarious creatures that prey on the memories of people. By tricking you into thinking it is someone you love, it can then take your memory of them for consumption. Memories lost to a shapeshifter cannot be retrieved. Tread carefully if you unexpectedly meet your lover.

The inky black part seen between transformations is its true self.
It moves like ferrofluid.
