Foolish-Hearts Β I've held onto this for a long while and I finally did it.ΒOnly one thing can engage this tired lad's dumbass mode, and it's a hoppy boyyo. Luckily for him, the ones on human lands don't kill him once touched~
Now serious note! With the comic so close I realized that I need to do a few free standing comics before doing the real dealio so I can see the style I'm going for! Honestly, I like this one! It was super simple and I like how it looks. The background will obviously have more work put into it and I'll fix anatomy and the tiny mistakes that I didn't worry about for this, but yeah! It'll probably have little to no shading for the characters unless I need to. That way, I can get a lot of story done in less time. But tell me what you think! How's this look to y'all?

When your "muse" doesn't want to stand still anymore and decides your artwork is done. :'D gosh he look so adorable, and it feels wrong saying this, but these cat eyes are so cute :'D Seems like it's an interruption he agrees on, having his little froggy friend that close :'D
I think it's a good idea to avoid shading everything and keep it simple and only go more detailed when it's necessary. A comic doesn't need to be perfect or has to be a fully detailed background everytime. Keeping a good balance of aesthetics and details is the key. But it's cool to see that you want to make it colour!

I know right, how rude of it X'D But yeah, Echaro doesn't mind at all! He's also happy that the frog isn't poisonous :'D His pupil slits don't become big like this often, so this is a pretty rare occurrence :'D
I'm so glad you think so! I've wanted to make it color since the beginning, but I was worried since coloring is actually my least favorite part of drawing :'D But since I really love colored comics a lot, I've cut down my time spent coloring pieces tremendously and can make them look decent with low effort

you don't like colouring? for me it's lining x'D I also love coloured comics, but my main comic will be in black and white or else I'll never finish it :'D but there will be some special pages in colour :3c I thought that might make illustrations more interesting but still coloured comics are also very neat

That's so funny, the linework's my favorite part X'D But I've never liked coloring, not even coloring books when I was younger. I just liked drawing X'DΒ

I just love playing with color, and I've also always wanted my characters to have colored speech bubbles, so colored only make sense to me

ahahaha gosh, you're one of a very very few people I know who like lining :'D I love sketching the most but then I love colouring. :'D I know how much I can procrastinate when it comes to lining :'D ok I didn't like colouring books as well, I always liked to draw on my own :'D

Really? I always want to stop after lining, but it never looks complete :'D I like shading too, but in order for me to shade, I have to get done with coloring. It's like a little hurdle between my fun XD Sketching is also fun for me, just not as much as the final linework :'D But yeah! That makes sense, too! It's not as fun to color something you didn't have the opportunity to make

Quick linework is hard. I think animation helped me figure out how to do it quickly because I have to line things really quickly to get progress done X'D

I want to stop after sketching and just I continue with colouring x'DD oooh colouring is only filling in the base colours for you? ok that part is boring but not as annoying as lining to me. So it's ok but my favourite part is then shading. When I say colouring I actually mean shading and lighting :'D

Nope, it's actually an AU with Avarus and Saira. :3cBut I do have some short stories for GoE as well :3c like the story about Richard and Avarus. It will be mentioned at some point in GoE and Avarus will probably tell a few things about Richard, but since Avarus doesn't like to talk much about his past you won't hear much. But I made up a whole backstory with both so it will appear as side story at some point :'D
yes, it is a good idea, I don't like mangas with speech bubbles and you have to figure out who's talking :'D
that's true, maybe that's why I'm afraid of animating because I have to do so many linearts x'D

That's how I feel with lining to shading X'D And yeah! It's the base colors. I've gotten the process down to something very quick, but I often leave gaps and have a lot of troubles keeping within the lines. I feel like I'm never done with it, because the moment I fix one thing, another pops up :'D Then yeah! I love shading! It's my favorite part on traditional drawings cause that's where I can do my best textures
And YUP!!! X'D I think it's because my lines are thick and dynamic and once I'm done with it I can clearly visualize what the end drawing is gonna look like

Same reason for me just digital. I love adding textures in digital artworks, I haven't drawn traditionally in a while, except for pencil sketches so I can't tell if there is a huge difference for me with textures in both medias :'D
that is great! I seriously would love to enjoy lining as well, but I feel like we always have one part of drawing we don't like as much as other parts :'D
I have so many AUs it's unreal :'D but one of them is quite big and one day the story will be released :3c

yes first focus on school after that you can look for textures :'D the easiest way is to download textures from google, preferable free to use, and copy them onto you layers. That's how I did it when i started with digital art. Another way is to find a brush that is not just round :'D
I hope I can get back to my main story, I often focus too much on my AUs because it's so fun to think about new stuff :'D

YES!! One to-do down, SEVERAL more to go XD I'm so glad people like the style! I have a lot of story to cover, and this was really quick and easy, and since it's been well received, it's probably the style I'll go for!
