What a blast from the past! My oldest watchers won’t probably believe their eyes!

So, huh, remember when I went through that big Depeche Mode phase early last year ? Well, one of the ideas I had was for a visual interpretation of Personal Jesus, and I immeditely envisioned it with Jimmy Richter because we share not only a penchant for “sacrilege” and “blasphemous” use of sacred imagery, but especially some truly amazing chemistry. We hadn’t collaborated at all since 2014 (on stuff that went unpublished here), I hadn’t published a photo with him since 2011 , and the last time we’d been on camera together was in 2010 on our mildly homoerotic vampire series , but we’ve kept in touch and remained good friends all these years, and always acknowledged there was lots of unexplored potential left on that department.

So, you know, when we set a timestamp on a new collaboration after many years, we included this idea into the bunch of stuff we shot, and damn, did it pay off amazingly! Also because Jimmy is a great craftsman and actually made a propr crown of thorns to wear. How neat is that?

And so, after many years, here we are, having fun and making nice art together. I did miss that.

(On a side note, yes, what became 10 Silver Bullets was a test shot for this one.)
