Description
'After the arrival of its new squires the tiny hamlet of Oakvale began to expand. the local monsters were driven back into the deep woods and the long abandoned local quarry was secured allowing the construction of a much more secure stone wall and the construction of a brand new smiths forge.

The population is still under fifty but the village now boasts a blacksmith and a herbalist.'

As a reward for my players saving a princes life they were made squires of the court and the isolated hamlet of Oakvale was given to them provided they took adequate care of it. It was in short a dump, however it was their dump and over the years that followed they turned it from a half derelict collection of buildings into a bustling fortified community.
As I'm practicing with my new surface it seemed like a fun project to take these old sketches and turn them into a progression of a small growing fantasy community.
This second sketch is roughly after a year as owners of the hamlet.
