I'm very happy that you like! I'm still experimenting with a good system to colour pencil works. Sometimes I feel the texture comes out too strong.
Cool, I look forward to working on that image with you. And no worries. Life gets busy sometimes.

He's gorgeous
Brilliant work! I totally love this sorta "pencil" effect he has, such a handsome young man :hand:
He reminds me of those princes from medieval stories, or maybe even more of AngΓ©lique, the Marquise of the Angels period My adoration goes to his shirt, it looks so real!

Thank you, Sim. I'm glad you like.
I like pencil works, a lot. But I have a lot of trouble colouring them. Maybe because I prefer digital colours, and that makes the pencil texture smudge... I will try full traditional colouring some time (but I'm scared of it... No undo button!)

Heehee. Yes, I started from quite a shaded sketch. I've had a lot of difficulties trying to colour pencil sketches. So I play a lot with them...
What I did here was use the sketch layer in multiply mode and the colouring layer in normal mode. That way I got the volumes right away. Then, I painted the skin over with a lighter more yellowish tone for the highlights and a purplish brown tone for the shaded areas. For the shirt, the texture was way to strong, so I used grays and whites over it to soften it. I painted more where the texture of the pencil was too strong. Sometimes I lost too much texture. Where that happened, I added a little bit of noise (on a duplicate from my flattened layer). Hope this helps, a little.
