It's very well done. The tremble when the backdrop falls is a nice touch. It really adds a feeling of force to it. And the look on the "astronaut's" face says it all...disgust and anger. A real D'OH moment.
Although, I can't believe there are still people who are convinced that we somehow faked all those missions to the moon. The conspiracy theorists use Earth physics to discount what they think are physical impossibilities without taking into account moon physics, the lack of atmosphere, the lower gravity, and the limited technology we had at the time to broadcast photos and videos. Eh, whatever. There will always be crazies.

thank you and yeah, however, i do and do not believe they went to the moon. I'm sure they have done, sometime afterwards, but at that moment i'm not too sure. Oh well.

but still
as long as russia or someone doesn't go to the moon and see the flag themselves, I still stay america never landed on the moon that day.

I'm quite at a loss.
Well....you should know that the moon landings did happen. My parents watched live on TV when they happened. The special effects necessary to pull off a "fake" mission DIDN'T EXIST in 1969! Hollywood wasn't that sophistocated. There was no CGI.
It amazes me that anyone would believe otherwise. To take one of the defining moments in human history that demonstrated our ability to live our dreams and overcome insurmountable obstacles and say it was all a hoax...that's just wrong.
The US government isn't that good at keeping secrets. If they couldn't keep something simple like Watergate covered up, how would they be able to keep a tremendous event like that under wraps?

Heh. That's why my team and I are designing a moon landing mission and ship for the AIAA. We're doing our part to help make up for lost time. Otherwise, amusing icon.
P.S. If you shine a laser beam at Tranquility Base, you will find that it bounces back at you. That's because Buzz and Neil placed a mirror on the lunar surface so that the distance to the moon can be calculated by beam reflection.
P.P.S. You will one day be the first to paint a picture while on the surface of the moon.

Well, you'd need a spaceship first.
The only astronaut who painted stuff from when he was on the moon (or so it seems) was Alan Bean. He's done some pretty good stuff!
He's supposed to be the first painter to walk on the moon, but not the first painter to paint ON the moon.

1) Not much CGI is required really, all of it being on stage is realistic.
2) Hollywod may not have been as sophisticated, but i'm sure NASA could pull of a few more hitech tricks.
3) I'm not saying that man never demonstrated their ability to live their dreams, sure I do believe that they did go to the moon afterwards and other planets which is also amazing, but I think that in that moment in time they faked it, because they were behind and didn't want Russia to be first to the moon.
4) Live TV is not always live tv. The only difference of a pre-recorded video and a live video is that the live video has a little 'LIVE' text in the corner to tell viewers it's live. But it might not always be true.
5) I'm sure the US government is good at keeping secrets. Do you believe that we know everything there is to know about the US right now? If you do believe that, then the US govt. is good at keeping secrets because it doesn't make you think there are secrets. If you don't believe that, then there are secrets.

You're too young to know how wrong you are. Maybe you'll never know. But in the meantime, try to think about this. Use your brain. You seem like a smart kid. Soviet/American relations after WWII notwithstanding, it's ludicrous to claim Neil Armstrong didn't lay the first human footprint on the moon on 20 July, 1969.
Keeping a secret as profound as a manned moon landing would be impossible. Everything comes out in time. Intelligence is fluid, it always has been. There are loose lips. Trust me, if it were a hoax it would have been discovered long before now. Not a single person, living or since dead, has claimed to have been there when this alleged mockery was conceived and executed. Do you really think that out of the thousands of men and women in the space program that NONE of them would have come forward by now to make a final confession that they took part in the biggest sham in the history of the world?
NASA has always been run by scientists, not politicians. They worked long and hard to fulfill the dream started by John Kennedy to get to the moon within the decade. Three men died on Apollo I during a test on the ground. But they kept at it. If you believe it didn't happen, then you've been misled by fools and you're dishonoring the memory of those three brave souls who burned alive in that capsule in Houston.
I can't understand people who would question something that changed the lives of millions of humans. A healthy dose of skepticism is acceptable, even welcome. Our current world leaders can not be trusted most of the time. But this is insane. Forget international borders, nationalism, who has a bigger penis, this is a HUMAN achievement that you're shitting all over when you say it never happened. Thousands of people worked on the Apollo program to make the impossible possible. How can you sit there and tell me with a straight face that you actually believe it's a lie?
Whatever...believe what you want. I and billions of others know the truth -- that two men from the planet Earth landed on the moon that day. You're just wrong if you say otherwise. Period.

Man didn't land on the moon. And Bush exploded the World Trade Center. And Jark wasn't fired, it was just a hoax to boost pageviews
Conspiracy theories are silly and only demonstrate that mankind loves to make up absurd stories and believe them. They make no sense? Matters not! As long as they are entertaning, they are accepted. Oh, and there's also this feeling of "ooooh, I know something the rest of the world doesn't!!!!!" that makes people accept anything.
