Description
Congratulations! You've unlocked a new reference sheet and the biography!Myo Wolfe
Age: 14
Birthday: September 21st
Birthplace: Berlin, Germany
Height: 5’ 5” / 165 cm
Weight: 120 lbs / 54 kg
Country: Canada
Likes: Milo, languages (Specifically German, Japanese, French, and Russian.), chocolate, bratwurst, maple syrup and pancakes, animals, drawing, music, drums.
Dislikes: Fighting, when someone messes with her drums, dubstep and techno (unless it’s Vocaloid), animal abuse of any kind, someone pronouncing a word wrong in a language she knows.
Personality: She’s very stern and it doesn’t take much to make her mad. It’s very hard for her to see that she’s actually a lot like a Canadian. She hates fighting and treats everyone equally. She’s very multicultural and accepts everyone’s differences, except her own. She wishes she were more Canadian and not so stern and… well, German! Though, she is easily angered, she can also become happy easily, but not after she’s angry. Milo, however, can snap Myo out of anger with one hug.
Biography: Born and raised in Germany, Myo was always a cold, stern person. She moved to America in 3rd grade, after learning her German. She learned Basic English by 5th grade. In 6th grade, when the kids finally felt like she was ‘American enough’ to talk to, she made friends with Melody and Lory, and best friends with Brigette. Later that year, she met Milo and became friends as well. In the summer, she went to a summer camp by the coast. There she met Sapphire, who was still learning English, since she was Japanese. They immediately became friends, not only because they both had to learn English forcibly as a second language, but also because they both obsessed over anime! Through Sapphire, Ludwiga learned a fair bit of Japanese, and Yuki learned quite a bit of English through Myo! After coming back to school in 7th grade, Myo found a teacher that happened to teach a German class! Myo was overjoyed! She immediately signed up for the advanced class, if not to learn, then to help. In October, Myo finally participated in the American tradition of (over-the-top) Halloween parties. Milo happened to have invited her to his. The invitation said that she needed a costume, so she came in her dad’s military uniform (luckily it wasn’t from that one time in German history that we will not speak of). It was huge, but she made it fit her. When Milo opened the door to see her, he was surprised to see her in such a weird costume, or at least weird to him. “I’m just in my dad’s uniform. I couldn’t think of anything else,” she said to him. He responded with, “That’s alright! Around here, it’s a costume! Besides, you look cute in it!” She ended up like a tomato after that remark. Halfway through the night, Milo brought her to the front of the house and called for everyone’s attention. Brigette, Lory, and Melody, were in the front. They seemed to know what was going to happen. Milo took Myo’s hands and asked a simple question, “Myo, I love you. Will you be my girlfriend?” Myo couldn’t have blushed harder! She messed with the collar of the uniform a little while she thought about how to answer. Finally, she smiled and jumped into Milo’s arms. “Ich liebe dich auch! Ja! I will be your girlfriend!” “I don’t know what you just said in German, but it was probably ‘I love you, too’.” The entire room filled with cheers. Myo finally fit in. Later in the year, Myo took Band. There, she learned she could play many different instruments especially the drums and guitar… mainly the drums. Her dad got her a set of Ludwig Rockers and she fell in love with them within a second. In the summer, her dad took her to NAMM and there she got a cherry-red, Gibson SG Standard. Those happen to be the instruments she plays the most. Early in the 8th grade, Myo’s band teacher had given the band a new song. When she saw the title, she shoved the current drummer off the drums. “Out of my vay! Zhis ist mein song!” she said in her German accent. The song happened to be Brandenburg Gate, her favourite song back when she was younger. She mouthed the words in German as they played the song. “Miss Wolfe? What are you doing?” Mr. W asked, everyone called him that because of his really awkward name. “Nichts, Herr W. I mean, nothing, Mr. W.”
As the time eventually rolled up to around her birthday, Myo was already planning on inviting her friends over for some kuchen, or cake. She didn’t know at the time that her friends were planning on taking her to ComicCon, instead. Melody, Brigette, and Lory walked up to her door on the day of her birthday, dressed up, of course. Myo didn’t really know what they were going to do, but they ended up slicking Myo’s hair back and having her wear her Opa’s uniform (yes, THAT uniform), since she happened to have it in storage. They also had her wear her Iron Cross outside her uniform. She didn't really like that, thinking someone would see it and call her a name she didn't want to be called. “Don’t worry, Myo! You’ll fit right in if you wear that!” Melody said. They knew why Myo looked like a German soldier, but she didn’t. They had planned to help her find a new anime to love. After getting many comments on her ‘costume’ and many remarks that she still had no idea who she was supposed to be, Myo’s friends finally dragged her to a booth filled with countries. Myo’s eyes lit up when she saw the character that she was dressed like. “He’s a German! What is this show?” she asked. “It’s called Hetalia!” After getting back home, Melody turned on Myo’s TV and used YouTube to help the girls have a Hetalia: Axis Powers and World Series marathon, in English subs. When she heard the voice of Doitsu, Myo fell in love with the series. Surprisingly enough, Germany wasn’t her favourite character. A quiet, blond-haired, violet-eyed boy that couldn’t seem to be remembered had struck Myo in the one spot in her heart. Canada had found his way to Myo’s soft spot.
(You can read Is It Night or Day by Fern Schumer Chapman for a similar biography for Myo. It’s a wonderful story, really. Spoiler, it gets rather sad.)
