Description A bit more work done on my "laptopish" desktop computer.

1.) Monitor mainboard (top) DVD Drive (bottom)
2.) Empty (will house the peltier turbine cooling system)
3.) Video card
4.) Hard Drives/Solid State Drive
5.) Power Supply
6.) Triad (Motherboard/RAM/CPU)

Also planning to put in an automatic switching audio jack (turn off speakers when headphones/mic are plugged in)

I've been working on this baby for a while. It *used* to be my desktop computer, now it's my laptop(ish) computer.

CPU: Intel i5-250 @ Quad-core 3.1 GHz
RAM: DDR3 8GB
Motherboard: ASUS Mini-ITX with PCIe(16)
Video Card: MSI R5450 w/ ATI Radeon HD5450 GPU and 512MB DDR3 RAM connected via eIDE(16) riser cable
Power Supply: 550 Watt

Storage
Solid State Drive:
SATA 0: 120GB. Partition 0, C: WinXP 100GB
Partition 1, P: (Paging) 10GB SOLID STATE FTW BABY!!!
Hard Drives:
SATA 1: 80GB, Partition 0, Ultimate Edition, Linux, with Grand Universal Bootloader(GRUB))
SATA 2: 750GB F: (Data)
Optical:
SATA 3: LG GT40N Super Multi-DVD Writer

Case (Modified Briefcase)
Internal USB 2.0 (7)
Front-Panel Audio (with plans for automatic speaker disable for headphones

The monitor is powered by the system's 550w power supply.

Cool. Does this have a battery for using this away from the plug? Where is your keyboard? Is it posible to make a spring loaded keyboard that will pop up then flip open when in use? Sorry this the first time I've seen someone do this. I was thinking about building one for computer games with duel touch screens. Perfect for air hockey programs.

That's flippin' awesome.

If I had the time and know-how, I have a hard-case briefcase in mind that I'd totally use as a base for a similar "laptop" deal.

It has one.

The socket for it is beneath the monitor main-board (Section 1)

BUT...

I *did* forget to put it back in, even though you wouldn't be able to see it.
