Description
Colonial One entering the Galactica hangar bay.A simple exercise in scaling, something that I always seem to struggle with. Really wanted to emphasis the size of the Galactica

WOW! Man, I love your color harmonies and general mood here. Its a pretty perfect blend of painterly feel and Modeled accuracy. If you don't mind saying, what software package(es) did you use on this?

Thanks
The base render is from Lightwave, using TanJ's Galactica model and Coxxon's low res fleet models ( both from scifi-meshes.com). The background I created myself using renders from Apophysis. I then tweeked it in Photoshop, mainly for colour and contrast. Painted a few lit windows on the Colonial One / Battlestar and added the engine trail. Finally to increase the detail slightly and bring out the highlights I ran it through the LucisArt3 filters in PS.

If scaling was your aim, I think you did a very fine job of it. Tough to do when there are no familiar objects to judge relative size by, like in this image, yet you pulled it off. I think composition is what did it here. Congratulations.
