Description
Seriously, I love Lucario. But I sometimes think I'm one of the remaining few in the fandom who remembers this. There's PLENTY of fantastic art to see, I kid you not, but some people take it too far in my opinion. Lucario is a pokemon. End of story. It does not exist in World of Warcraft, it does not exist in Middle Earth, it does not exist in Call of Duty, it does not exist in Warhammer *coughmikegtscough*, and it most certainly does not exist in real life. Fan of Lucario? Great. More power to you. Want to take creative license and change Lucario? Possess it with demons maybe? (Might I suggest . His stuff ROCKS.) Deck out in cool accessories? Create a fancharacter even? Cool. There's NOTHING wrong with that. I'm serious. However, IF it is your desire to create a fancharacter or other such things, REMEMBER. Remember who/what your fancharacter is, and that is a Lucario. And Lucario is a pokemon. And that is all he is and ever will be.Related content

Lucario:
(Actually it's not that shocking, which is the worst part.)

Yeah, I personally actually find it really hard to add details & stuff to distuinguish one lucario from another just because I love the base design SO MUCH and if I ever change it I tend to just go "meh" and try to change it back.

True. It's hard to make it close enough and different enough at the same time.

indeed. Lucario doesn't look good in combat boots.

Try stepping on barbed wire, hot metal, and broken glass without some form of foot protection. My own char doesn't like wearing boots; they're just a uncomfortable necessity he needs to make due with.

Yeah, I agree with you on this one. It's like people have forgotten that Lucario is a Pokemon, on the same level as Pikachu, Cindaquil, or that stupid Nosepass... thing. He belongs in the Pokemon world, but the thing is, I keep seeing it where he's like your typical furry character, goofing around in another world. Usually without any other Pokemon around.
There's a lot of love and creativity going into Lucario characters here, and it's sad when you come to the realization that the guys who own Pokemon (Game Freak or Nintendo or something) basically own your character.

So true. I can't tell you how many times I've seen this nonsense.
It is very sad indeed. I've changed some of my characters because of that, and now they're better than they were as Lucarios. A lot of other people I've seen have absolutely FANTASTIC ideas and such, but when they put it on Lucario basically it doesn't even belong to them anymore.

Yeah, that's kind of one of the reasons I don't do a lot of fanart. It's cool to draw the things that inspire me and give a sort of hi-five to the creators and all, but then I hate not having ownership over my own creations.
