Starlight Glimmer sighed as she sat in her room at twilight's castle, trying to think of something she could do. At the time all her friends were busy, Thorax running his kingdom, Trixie busy with her tricks, and Sunburst was away doing his magic studies. "Why are all my friends busy? I'm so bored..." she whined to herself. Just then Twilight came into the room and smiled. "Everything alright Starlight?" she asked. Starlight shrugged. "Not really, i'm so bored I can't even think of what to do" she replied.

Twilight smiled and walked over to her. "Well, you told me you really enjoyed kite flying, why not go and do that?" she replied. Starlight sat up and smiled. "You right, I did tell you that. How could I forget that" she squealed. She gave Twilight a hug and headed out, going to the store to pick up an amazing kite. When she arrived there was a large selection to choose from, and Starlight found one that was pink and blue in color, so she happily picked that one. She went over to the cashier and paid for it, then headed out to an open field.

Many ponies she passed smiled and waved to her, and she smiled back at them. When she arrived at the field, it was pretty empty save for a few ponies in the distance. Starlight giggled happily and unwrapped her kite, looking the design over. "Its perfect, I hope I can get it to fly super high" she squealed. She took hold of the wheel in one hoof, and held the kite with the other, then began running to give the kite a little wind to catch. Soon it lifted from her hoof and began rising into the sky, and Starlight squealed like a little filly.

"This is so much fun, and its flying super high already" she said. she unraveled the string, letting the kite go higher and higher. She even made it do some tricks, diving and spinning around. At one point the wind slowed and her kite began to drop, before coming to the ground with a stop. Starlight sighed and picked it up, but smiled happily as the wind blew around again. She giggled and began running again, but unknown to her a loose thread on her purple skirt had hooked onto the kites frame, and as it lifted into the sky the thread went along with it, slowly unraveling her skirt. Starlight was to excited to see it even happening, as the kite flew higher and higher into the sky.

The kite soared high in the sky, and Starlight's skirt had become fully unraveled from it. Starlight however was to distracted from how much fun she was having, to notice that her white cotton panties, decorated with adorable little kittens playing with yarn balls, were on display for anypony to see. Starlight didn't even notice the purple thread from her skirt dangling on the kite, as again she was to excited to notice. Some ponies walked by the field and did notice, and they snickered at her adorable undies.

After a long time of playing with the kite, the wind began slowing down and wasn't strong enough to lift the kite into the air. Starlight smiled happily, she had had enough fun with her kite for one day. She grabbed it from off the grass and frowned, noticing a purple thread attached to it. "Strange, that wasn't there when I bought it. Must have gotten caught somehow when I was playing" she said, unraveling it and tossing it aside. Starlight then held her kite under her hoof and began walking back to the castle. On the way back, something felt off for Starlight, but she wasn't sure what. As she reached town lots of ponies turned and looked at her, some snickering under their hooves. Starlight frowned and wondered what was so funny. She glanced around herself to see if something was wrong, and it was then that she looked down and blushed.

She realized now where that thread had come from, it was actually her skirt unraveling on the kite. And now Starlight stood in the middle of Ponyville, with her adorable panties on display for everypony to see. She blushed and threw her hooves down to cover them, then raced off towards the castle. She heard many ponies laughing at her, but she continued to run until she reached the castle, and slammed the door behind her. Starlight heaved a sigh of relief, then blushed when she heard her name.

"Starlight, what um, what happened to your skirt?" Twilight said, trying to hold back her laughter as Starlight blushed. "M-my uh, skirt had a loose thread, and it g-got caught on the kite" she replied with an embarrassed tone. Twilight giggled. "Well um, at least you had fun playing with your kite today right?" she asked. Starlight nodded, and gave Twilight a hug.

"Now, if you'll excuse me I need to go put some pants on..." Starlight squeaked, quickly running off and closing the door to her room. Twilight giggled and smiled, then headed off to her own room to sleep.
