Yep, you heard me. I think Snoopy is an overrated character. Here's my reason why I say this:

The thing is, Snoopy isn't as interesting as other characters in the Peanuts universe. With Charlie Brown, he has a developed personality and a lot of character traits. With Snoopy? He's just a dog. A funny dog, but just a dog. Snoopy works well for comedy, but not for story purposes. He just isn't interesting. Now, that wouldn't be a problem, and I will admit Schulz did a great job at balancing out Charlie Brown and Snoopy's appearances, but the company behind Peanuts keeps pushing him so much! This is something that I think bothers other Peanuts fans, not just me. Nowadays, they always have to slap the word "Snoopy" on everything, from toys, to series, to specials and so much more. He's pretty much the main mascot of the brand, and I think Charlie Brown would be better as such. I do like the character, but not as much as others do...
