sometimes they render for an hour or so and sometimes for ~10 minutes. the noise won't resolve in some formulas and in others it's a texture worth showcasing. I save off a .png & buffer periodically to check where it's headed.

yes I know it depends on the fractal type...
actually some of them need, from what I have heard, days on Incendia
