Okay so this is something I've been working on for a while. Custom figures of ARC Captain Ordo (red) and ARC Lietenant (blue) Mereel from the Republic Commando series by Karren Traviss.I started with a regular Captain Rex and Clone trooper figure from the clone wars series. I then began painting Rex up in red ARC trooper livery and the plain vanilla one up in blue. I then added scortch marks and mud so they weren't so shiny. Using the pauldron and kama from a second Cpt Rex figure I bought I put the finishing touches on the Mereel.
The bottom two pics show the factory set figures I started with next to my painted versions of the same ones on the right.
These two are undoubtedly a complete testimony to my geekiness, and nowhere near as good as some other customs I've seen. But I am still pretty proud of the way they turned out.

Why didn't you just use 2 Rex figures?

Well these guys are more like the Cloud and Zack of ARCs but I've got a plain Commando I might paint up like Sev, the Raph commando.

Yeah it's based on the Pink Floyd line.
It thought of it after I saw a t shirt with the Dark Side of the Moon logo but instead of the triangle of glass it had Darth Vaders helmet refracting the light!
It was epic, I'd get it if it wasn't 50 bucks
