The final audio recording starts with the sound of squealing static for a few seconds suggesting the recording device is damaged in some way. In between the oppressive white noise the sounds of the speaker running and breathing heavily can be heard. In the progress of his terrified flight more than one sickening thump can be heard as he likely collides with several of the 'trees' causing the audio recording to briefly flicker in and out. The speaker's terrified cries and incoherent rambling can be heard and one ominous phrase emerges from the chaos clear as day. "I shouldn't have followed!" It is then in the recording that you hear it, something big is moving nearby, and it sounds like it’s footfalls are heavy, wet and solid enough to crush whatever is stepped on. Numerous ‘foot falls’ can be heard as whatever it is moves about and it is unclear if it is chasing the speaker. Then a sound comes through on the audio recording unlike any other and despite being cleansed of any hazardous content by the curator, you can feel the sound. It’s like being hit by military grade sonar while in the ocean, the sound is incomprehensible, and your mind struggles to make sense of it. The best description you can muster is that it sounds and feels like every molecule of your being is being scrutinized, vibrated and touched as if the thing is deciding if you are edible. Your hearing briefly goes and is replaced by the horrible acoustic pang of something resembling severe tinnitus for just a few seconds. All you can hear is that roaring disjointed rumble which brings on feelings of intense vertigo and then as fast as it came it is gone. The sounds of the speaker's terrified flight fill the recording as does the ominous sound of the massive creature lumbering about in the background. You can hear him spouting incomprehensible gibberish as what little was holding his sanity together is giving way on the recording right before your listening ears. You can only conclude at this point that he has seen something so beyond understanding that his mind is breaking down from contact. A few minutes of this frantic flight and maddened gibbering can be heard before the speaker finally becomes coherent again. "M...m..mistake, following...can't...the rest." There is an audible rustling as the speaker rummages through his clothes for something then a metallic clicking noise. "S...sorry" Moments after his final word the deafening bang of a gunshot is heard there is a silence following this and then a growing wail fills the recording. It resembles that of the wind moving across a microphone or a screen creating a distorted whistling sound of unearthly quality. The recording seems to stop there but after a moment an ominous prompt appears…
