Are there any brands of watercolors you would recommend for beginners; something that won't be too expensive but still works for trying it out?

I use windsor and cottman, but they are pricey. You could try koi, or maybe do some research and see what a good beginner one is.

ice tutorial, so you use prismas as well for pencils. And the whole bit about inking in after the watercolors was pretty good.

haha its more simple with this ACEO. theres alot more work put into my full blown works. But more or less these are the steps i use.

Thanks for making this tutorial, I find this sort of thing really helpful, being able to see how an artist works rather than just the finished product.

haha awesome, i do this to, i love using watercolors under the pencil because then u don't need to work the pencils as much. I haven't used koi yet, ive been using devinci. Have you ever tried those?
