Description
My coloring of an art trade sketch by :If I had to attach a story to the image, it'd be a Foreign Fathoms tie-in: even after his sister SigrΓΊn was taken by the humans, Viktor would still break away from his pod on occasion to go looking for her.

Alright, I will neither lie, nor will I exaggerate, but this blew me away. The detail is exceptionally stunning, and the scenic composition of the picture makes it all the more realistic.
The transition you created between the underwater segment and the segment above the surface was beautifully done, too.
Excellent work!

Fog and icebergs were the only things I could think to add to break up the background. I'm kinda sick of seeing so much open water in my paintings.
Playing with the blur brush was fun, too. Couldn't create a sense of motion without it.
Thank you.

The fog and icebergs were a very nice addition, if I may say. And it's amazing how motion blur - when used correctly - can add more realism; that's certainly the case here.
You're welcome.

Thanks.

Oh wow Gray, you managed to take my pretty boring pose and make a beautiful painting out of it!

Thank you. Utilized the right way, any old pose can serve as inspiration. Looking at the sketch, I was reminded of this photo: [link]

Indeed. The chances of a reunion would probably be as remote as the chances of another illicit capture attempt (or so it would seem in this story).
