My first proper "slideout" painting. Enzi isn't so thrilled about being placed there. Not wanting to be left out of the fun, Kopa slides out next to him - effectively cutting off his escape back into the pool.

Thank you, I am quite proud of it. Especially the fact that the lineart was done with no specific reference. Besides the linked video, I can't say I really looked at any other photos or footage in deciding what angle to outline from or what poses to use.

hahaha, cute little video . Enzi's probably like "Mo-ooom!" .

Aside from that, this is probably one of the best pics you've ever done! I mean the lineart is so smooth. The background is so well done, as simple as it is. That water looks really realistic! . Great expressions and coloring done here. Amazing work, I can hardly believe this was down with the mouse!

Thank you. I am very happy with how the water turned out, almost moreso than the lineart. If it hadn't, I probably would have scrapped the idea. Simply because there are pre-made brushes available for water that doesn't mean some effort wasn't involved. The surface of the pool and the water in the foreground were two different elements entirely, and each area consisted of at least three layers.

The computer mouse is like any other artistic tool, I think - it takes practice to master. And once you do, it makes pieces like this possible.

Thanks. I wasn't so sure how to do the ledge using only freehand, so I cheated and added a few guidelines with MS Paint.
