I like the calm vibe of this piece, the darker blue colors go well for a moonlit scene. The lighting and webbing are done well, I like the shading too. I can see the similarities between them. Their expressions are drawn well too.

He's bound to be undersized, I think, in his early years. His growth rate is another oddity to consider- slow at first, before ramping up drastically by his teens. And even then, the biggest change will be in wingspan.
