Description

Someone suggested Julian Bashir since I named my son Julian. I guess there's nothing better than painting Star Trek's most boring character with a set of new brushes and an LSD induced color palette.

Alexander Siddig as Julian Bashir in the episode "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges". And I know you wanna try and repeat that 10 times in a row, but before you do, try doing that with Siddigs REAL name which he gave up because no one will give you a acting job when you introduce yourself as Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Abderahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim El Mahdi.

Wow this is gorgeous!  His expression in particular is really arresting; there’s a lot of thought going on behind those eyes.

FYI, I found this via a credited re-post on Tumblr, linked below.  Do you mind folks reblogging the re-post, or have you posted this to tumblr yourself (and would rather have people reblog your own post)?

Seriously impressive! I very much light the lighting and colors.
Still one of my favorite characters, even if "Doctor Bashir, I presume" kind of killed a good deal of the character. A pity, he was quite interesting as a smart and nice character with some more concerning aspects in relation to women. So far, it was nice to see him evolve through his relationship with Garak, trading Cardassian influence for Federation influence... (I haven't finished watching the series, still in the middle of season 5)

Yesss, Bashir cheeks
I really love how you captured the expression and how the colors work with it. His eyes are beautiful.

I quite liked his original actor's name Siddig El Fadil - I still refer to him by this name. The new one sounds dull. He was the first actor I saw at a con and he was most likely the most pleasant one I ever met (during my time as "active trekkie" I encountered quite a lot of them).

When I first watched DS9 (some 20 years ago ), I didn't like the character of Bashir either. But when I rewatched the series this spring I was surprised at how likeable he became to me. I quite enjoyed watching him grow from boy to man.

Your drawing shows what became of the joyful young man. I like the ... how do I call it ... the geometric forms you put in there. (there certainly is a more professional term for this ...  I'm horrible with English, sorry)

Thanks, lovely to hear that you've met him It's funny because I also started to enjoy his character the second time around. Especially the episode where his genetical engineering is revealed. Also, his part in the battle at AR-558. It made him more of a man and showed what a really good actor he is.

And yes, I enjoy experimenting with those shapes. Backgrounds tend to bore me after a while so I tried something new
