media: watercolor, micron pens, pencilToo many strings tied to my heart
Started this sketch at a particularly low point in a very bad day. I'd been feeling like this for... some time. Not a good feeling.
Scanner butchered my purple paint because it was a meanie face.

The symbolism in your pieces is always amazing ^-^ In this case, I very much like how defined the strings are, and how entangled with each other they are. Your shading has gotten even better (if that's possible!) - you get such definition and precision, and the way you use several different colors really adds depth.

I love what you can do with water colors. Like F-allen said, the wings seem detached. I think its probably because the outline of the characters back is dark. But I love the veins and texture of the wings. The abstract form of them is very cool. My fav part would have to be the heart strings. They have a very delicate and soothing feeling in them. Cool piece.

I really adore this piece because it is symbolic, and emotional.
I could go on about how awesome it is, but I shall stop.
My only distraction is how the wings seem to blend into the background, and are not very prominent.

Now that you mention the detached wings, I see what you mean. I think I didn't want to ink them because I wanted them to be delicate, but I see now how I could have done that a bit better.
