Description Jekyll:
Soon you will die
And my memory will hide you!
You cannot choose but to lose control!

Hyde:
You can't control me!
I live deep inside you!
Each day you'll feel me devour your soul!

Well, yeah... inspired by Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story, but mostly by the musical which I can't stop listening to recently.
Confrontation is such a great part of it!

Jekyll & Hyde the musical fanart?? Yess! There's far too little of it in dA. It's definitely one of my biggest favourite musicals, so glad to see at least some! Confrontation is definitely one of the most powerful musical songs.

You have a fantastic taste in musicals, I think I'm going to watch you from now on.

Yeah, I also noticed that Jekyll & Hyde is kinda underrated on dA...
I love it too, I'm so glad to see it live soon
Haha, thx, nice to meet someone with a similar taste for musicals with anything undead, creepy or considered wicked

I guess it's at least partially because many of the productions all around the globe have been a bit lacking in different ways... Stuff like having David Hasselhoff as the lead in the most well-known production doesn't really draw people into the fandom, I suppose. I feel this musical deserves much better than what it often gets.

You're getting to see it live, though? Sweet! Which production?

Also, thank you for the watch!!

Well, you're probably right...
I've always wondered what if Anthony Warlow was in the cast - he's awesome at the Concept Recording, but live performing is a completely different thing.

The Polish one, it's premiered in October. I know some of the cast from other Polish productions, so I'm pretty sure they'll do their best ;]
Have you seen it in your country or/and somewhere else?

You're welcome^^

Anthony Warlow would be so amazing in the role – I really like the CD with him, too. A shame indeed he hasn't played the part onstage!

So there's a production in Poland going on? Sweet! I try to keep up with my European musical theatre news, but I hadn't heard about this... Do you know if there are any photos or videos of it online, I'd love to get a little look?

I saw the recent Finnish production. It's really one of the very very best things I've ever seen in theatre. It looked gorgeous, it sounded gorgeous, and then the actors were so talented... Plus, the Finnish creative team had done little rewrites to the script. Utterson for example had much more personality than in most of the productions I've watched online. Here's a link to some photos and stuff if you're curious: fyeahfinnishmusicaltheatre.tum…

Hope you'll enjoy the version you're going to see as much as I enjoyed it here!! I love seeing musicals outside Finland too, so I hope I'll get to see a foreign production or two someday, too...

Nah, I guess there're no photos and videos yet - the premiere is in October, so there's still some time left...

Wow, the photos look really impressive, the characterization, the scenography... must have been a really good show, indeed! I've always liked the idea of non-replica productions, it gives the cast much more possibilities (and it gets more interesting if you plan to see them all ).

Ah, good luck with it! I'd love to make such a trip myself as well, there're so many actors to hear and see on stage

Ah, I see! I'll keep an eye open in the fall then, always curious to see different takes of Jekyll and Hyde...

Yeah! The production actually won a prize for their outstanding visuals, and it's no wonder, it's one of the prettiest shows I've seen. And the characters! Agh.

And yes to the thing about non-replica productions! It's so fascinating to see how differently different actors and directors see the same story – it's good to have all these different versions all around the globe. I'm glad non-replicas of some of the most popular shows, like the Phantom of the Opera, are finally starting to happen too. A new version of PotO is coming to Estonia soon and I'm going to see that (it's just two hours in a ferry from Helsinki, so that's an easy theatre trip to take...), can't wait to see a different version from the London one! Doesn't Poland also have a non-replica Phantom?

Yes, it does :] The changes are mostly in scenography, costumes (inspired by the 2004 movie) and instrumentation, which personally I like a lot (some electric guitars were added - as a metalhead I just couldn't ignore it, haha ). I think that's also less "operatic" than other productions, so I find that a bit more lively.
Ah, just two hours in a ferry sounds really nice, have a nice trip!

Nah, at least I didn't think of anyone in particular except dr. Jekyll himself while drawing.
But I might have got inspired by him subconsciously, subconscious is such a weird thing
