Description
An over-under firearm which mates a binary propellant, electrically fired 4.5mm assault rifle (150 rounds) to a pump-action 25mm mini-grenade launcher (4 rounds). Obviously the illegitimate child of an FN P90 and an Aliens M41A Pulse Rifle. Not my best work, honestly, but it holds a special place in my heart.Having never been satisfied with this drawing, I finally got around to redrawing it. Only took me twenty years! Here, take a look:

Well, if you do then I got a few ideas for you.
They're all from the same universe, an alternate timeline where France and Britain decided that Germany shouldn't exist after WW1 and tried to get the rest of the planet to be on it. This would lead the Treaty of Versailles to be called the Treaty of Damnation and cause the Great War of Resistance... which in addition to pretty much screwing over Britain and France hardΒ both in the short and long run caused the Old Men faction of Imperial Japan to purge (Stalin style) the Imperialist faction from the Japanese government and signing an alliance with the US (and later a reborn Imperial Germany), causing German cities like Cologne and Hamburg to become the equivalent of Stalingrad and Leningrad, among many other things.
The biggest idea is a semi-modular rifle system (i.e. switch out a handful of components and you've turned an assault rifle into a battle rifle and vice versa). The weapon system is the byproduct of a joint weapons program of the Iron Pact, primarily between the 'big league' nations of the US, China, Imperial Germany, and Old Men!Imperial Japan. Aesthetically its a fusion between East and West, with the M16, G11, and K11 making up the bulk of the aesthetic lineage. It's a bullpup weapon with a 6.8x52mm battle rifle round and a 4.7x45mm intermediate/assault rifle round. The weapon can become an OICW style (also bullpup) weapon system utilizing 30mm Sensor Fused Grenades (SFGs for short, also known as 'smart' grenades). The standard underbarrel grenade launcher utilizes 45mm grenades in a Metal Storm arrangement with each tube having 3 rounds, when reloading the launcher hinges downward but variants using a side-hinge are also available.
The standard magazine for the assault rifle is 32 rounds while the standard battle rifle magazine is 24. The Assault Rifle has 12 inch Carbine, 16 inch Standard, and 20 inch Marksman barrels while the battle rifle has 16 inch Carbine, 20 inch Standard, and 24 inch Sniper. The various scopes and sights are something of a fusion of Helgast and NATO primarily with a dash of Blacklight: Retribution (steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles⦠) aesthetically.
Both variants used to utilize a biopolymer case, but were converted to caseless in the early 1990s (but retained an extraction system to extract bad caseless ammo).
Other ideas include pistols, SMGs, AMRs, among others.

There is only so many ways (from what I can tell) you can make a gun and most of the improvements is in powders, metallurgy, and other not-as-noticeable things.
And for what it is for? It's for an alternate timeline I'm working on... which I'm going to use for fics that are all over the place. The weapon itself is basically an up-to-date version of the previous generation of assault rifle. The successor starts to look a lot like MrBrainz/Bonez18/Rogers:
