Originally, several different Sentinel variants were planned to be included in Operation: Rimfire. Unfortunately that idea was dropped.This is the only Sentinel variant that ever got any development. The High-Mobility, or "Z-type," Sentinel is the Mekton equivalent of the Gundam Zephyranthes Fb. It integrates the thruster-wings of the ExSentinel for greater speed and maneuverability.

The writer of Operation Rimfire (Mike MacDonald) had like five or ten variants in mind -- potentially one for each pilot. That idea was dropped when it turned out to be prohibitive both in terms of page count and artist fees.

Somehow I imagined something like that...ESPer lens for Laian, command suite for Larani, high mobility for Tammis, close combat for Daric, repair package for Eiran...

Awesome, love those thrusters pods, i definitely see how this is the GP01Fb's equivalent, those pods are the real evidence. The Mekton mechanical designers were some serious gundam fans. And another awesome drawing man

there's nothing wrong with that really, in my opinion gundam's always had the best general style over-all. not to say there aren't others, armored cores, or NEXTs, are awesome, just of a different style

Personally, I've always dug on the Dougram mecha the most (outside of the cockpits being in the head), but, yeah, there's been some great stuff to come out of the UC universe.

Agreed, overall. It's also becoming hard to not look like Gundam as, over the years, Gundam has hired so many different mecha designers and has adopted so many different styles.
