Description
Here's a sketch I did of Skyquake, Decepticon leader from the underdeveloped European-exclusive line of Transformers (and, probably, from the "Operation: Combination" line in Japan). The toy was recolored as TF Universe's King Atlas and, before that, as Machine Wars' Starscream, of all characters.

The thing about this toy is that it made such an incredibly poor match for Starscream. It's dark, somber, imposing, and ominous -- everything Starscream isn't. The toy is a much better match for Soundwave, in my opinion... a match which is enhanced by the presence of a freakin' DOOR ON THE CHEST.

Based on this opinion of mine, I'm coloring this pic in Machine Wars colors [link] , G1 Soundwave's colors [link] , Japan-exclusive Soundblaster's colors [link] , Skyquake's colors [link] , and King Atlas's colors [link] .

I banged this out in pencil (didn't ink it, just scanned it and adjusted the levels and such), grabbed a stormy sky offa Google, and did some speedlines/rain stuff so that it had some context. Mostly I did this for the color experiments.
