Description
-Classic: Good ol' gengar, nothing to see here.-Shadow rug: Has a very dark pattern on his face and belly, many people find them terrifying and aggressive (they're also referred as the "monster under the bed"), often taken by trainers as battle pokemon, they're not exactly the best on the battlefield.
-Cheshire: Often believed to be the most docile and good with children, they're actually the most prone to making pranks and provoking mayhem, pretty hard to deal with, many coordinators try and train them for contests, most fail and give up.
-Bomb: Named like this not only because of the pattern, but also thanks to their bubbly and... explosive personality.
-Smoke: This variation retains the fluffy and light fur from their gastly days, it's almost impossible to tell if a gastly is going to become a "smoke" until they evolve into haunter. The shiny form of this one is even more sought after than the others, because of the striking blue mane. Many of these gengars end up as contest pokemon, but a good number end up as pampered family pets in rich homes.
Is this thing even relevant anymore? Because I've a bunch of ideas I want to draw (despite not having the time at all afssjhgkgf)
This time around I even made a little template for the shiny colors
and then pass on to other pokemons (maybe, maybe I'll do gastly too, but I'm not sure)
Fun fact: it all started from the shadow rug one, I HAD to draw it, and then just couldn't leave it by itself... the rest is hystory
I plan on re-doing the cross-breeds as well, but they'll be muuuch different, the old one is here, tough:

Is it okay if I were to make an OC using the Smoke variant?

I'd prefer not, sorry.
These are little things I make for myself, not species ref sheets.
However I can't stop you from using a similar concept, I don't own pokemon after all

No, but you made the variant, which is why I asked first.

Cute! X3
I'm curious to see your "variation" take on ghastly and haunter!
