Description
Oh boy, these two.Working with these two was both nice and a nightmare.
Just like the cast of "the Thief" these were done for school (they have many more concept sketches that didn't fit here), the difference is that, while Thomas and Chester were my own characters, these two were adaptations of an existing story that we had to make into a comic. Everyone made their own version of the story and the characters, these two were mine; and while I love their design and personality, the story itself was not my cup of tea and I got burned out hard while making the 12 pages required.
However I still adore these two design-wise, and I want to repurpose them. The story took place in 1800 Russia, the dude was a journalist, the lady was just,,, a wealthy lady.
They're getting a major overhaul clothing-wise; role wise,, dude working well as a reporter/journalist still, while the lady... she's gonna be his boss B)
Of the two she's the one I like the most, everyone made a young pretty girl or a sexy femme-fatal... I went for the latter angle, but I ended up with "please step on me mommy". To my defense I used morher Gothel as inspiration.
I don't want to talk too much about them here tough, I'll do more of that when I redesign them.
As for the comic... I honestly hate it and it has nothing to do with what they're gonna be, it's very dialogue-hevy and all in Italian, so translating it would be a nightmare.
Art wise it isn't too bad I guess, I took a lot of shortcuts for the backgrounds because I put myself into a time-crunch and I was very stressed; the professors said they liked the work a lot, but I just see something I rushed.
I could post it if y'all wanna see it, but I would have to translate it for it to be readable in any way.
art and characters by me, do not copy, trace, repost, reuse ecc without my permission please.
