Have you considered creating a custom watermark in GIMP or Photoshop? They can be just a clear as the dA one, without being quite so destructive. There are various tutorials, but it's essentially just save-the-watermark-image-as-a-brush.

I have been asked, rather told I should get rid of the water mark, as soon as I get the chance to do so I Will, this is just a hobby for me.....

No sweat or pressure. I don't know why an art site has such a destructive watermark by default - bit weird. But with really nice images like this, one wants to see it!
