If they did, it would be similar to Super Paper Mario.

That's why it looked so weird... But I thought of something, unless this is what you were going for, if they DID make Super Paper Mario World, all of the battles should be timed ;O

you rock i loved both those games but never thought of this
now i wonder what would happen if you took Mario sunshine and put it togheter with Mario 2 including the character selections

I could imagine this-
Act 1: Simply jump on those little toy koopa things and then during the next turn you get the option to throw them at Bowser.
Act 2: Bowser drops those bubble things as an attack and then drops 2 of those toy koopas again. You have to hit them then throw them at him.
Act 3: His helicopter thing is all pissed off so he pounds it onto the ground sending a shock wave which you can dodge by jumping over it using the action command. Then you do the whole toy koopa process again and beat him.
