I made these a while ago actually.Feel free to use these brushes for whatever you want, but it would be nice if you could give me credit by linking back to this page.
The download contains 8 splatter/grunge brushes that I made for GIMP. Some were made with the sparks brush, others came from a few fractals I made [link] , and the rest were made using other techniques in GIMP.
They're pretty big.
To use the brushes, just unzip the file and put the brushes in your GIMP brushes folder.

Splatter marks are the one thing I don't feel guilty about using a pre-made brush for.... after all, if this was a traditional medium, I could just splatter paint, but in digital work, splattering by hand is just plain tedious

I'm having trouble finding the brushes folder on the Mac version of GIMP.
