Description This order is quite successful. The Biopsidonts have specialized muscles for grinding plant matter, making them effective grazers. Able to ingest lots of plant matter.

The Baros are large grazers, roaming steppes on the mainland continent, they have several different species occupying different climates but all share thick skin and grazing habits in some species the horn has become vestigial. They could be compared to bovids on earth?

The scrapers are a group that has convergently evolved to look and act quite similar to pigs on earth. They are especially common on the rainforest floor. They gorge on any ground vegetation in these lush regions. In my opinion they look a little too much like pigs, so they might change in the future

The Battyx borrow a bit of namesake from their closest earth analogous; the Oryx. Similarly Battyx dwell in very arid environments. They travel in groups and consume the little ground vegetation they can find. They have very efficient digestive systems to minimize water usage. Their feeding appendages have enlarged into crests, used to radiate heat. They are very territorial and charge at one another with their sharp horns.

The Pebbelts are also scrubland animals. They have a similar diet but will occasionally eat carrion or small bug-like creatures. They avoid predation with their banded armored backs. They can’t roll into a complete ball but can protect most of their body. If this fails they run to their burrows. Some species estivate during dry seasons.
