This drawing actually put my in a mini stage of depression xDI started and finished the drawing Monday and i couldn't do the eye... i sat their for almost an hour/my whole damn lunch break... trying to get it right.
To the extent that i gave up and just drew the eye in the fine liner... the mistake was irreversible ;-;
Either way i decided to colour it and attempted to do what i can to fix the catastrophe i created xD

Try using the one you used on coloring the tattoo as the black preference for his hair and clothes, jewelry...

Critisism is helpful, if my drawings terrible I'd much rather be told that then it be ignored because it's bad xD
i thought about doing that but the colour I used for the tattoo is fineliner so I decided against colouring in it
i did consider what you commented on however 
but it yeah I can't draw without a reference, I've only been drawing a couple months so I'm completely self taught :/

A fineline is like ink, to create the tattoos i used a fineliner pen whereas i coloured the rest

well all special/highly rated equipment/brands are fairly expensive
The fineliners i bought cost me Ā£9.99
I got a set of 4 including sizes 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7
The brand was Steadler so i wasnt expecting it to be cheap but im sure you could find some cheap ones from a lesser known brand

I didnt really find much use for fineliners until i started colouring my drawings, before i started using colours my lines where clear to see but after colouring people suggested i use LineArt so boldify the outlines and features etc.
But to be perfectly honest ive only been drawing 3-4 months in total, ive never even attempted to create digital art in any shape or form so ive no idea how to where to find LineArt so i opted for Fineliners xD basically free hand, traditional LineArt

He's half drawn anyway so dont stress yourself xD, infact i think itd be nicve once in a while to draw a character from an unseen anime as it allows me to create the personality of that character in my head without actyually knowning how they are depicted in the anime

This looks great! The only thing I would recommend is adjusting the size of his hand. Its just a little too big. But still, it looks amazing! Its really hard to do uta, especially with all his tattoos!

I completely agree with you there. The original reference, as shown in the description, show very little wrist/ arm so I just need to improve on the proportion side of thing for future drawings :3
this is my first ever attempt at drawing Uta but I've been on a Tokyo Ghoul drawing spree since I finished the anime/started the manga over the past 2 weeks, although i was really expecting the tattoos to turn out horribly but they came out pretty well xD
You our may like my Touka drawings, I feel that they are two of my best
